But for one, this started off over a comment on SROA. o_o
And how it exploded into a huge discussion about creativity, and people ripping off a bit or two off of a character.

YEAH, I bitched people out before for the same thing. o_o;
But, my main argument was based on 'coincidence' and to not blame everyone with a character. o_o

But SOME PEOPLE it's MORE than mere coincidence.
And that's where it gets irritating. o_o;
Because it's not cool to brag about something that you didn't make yourself,
it's like you're fishing for compliments.

Don't get bitchy with me, because that last journal I made you guys didn't understand wtf I was talking about, and your ignorance really struck a nerve, and I didn't really defend myself because I knew it was worthless. o_o;

But now I'm completely irritated, and it's not PMS. o_o;

I don't like people standing up for increativity. o_o; It's fucking stupid.

I agree, I hate when people just rip something off. It happens frequently with styles, too, but people don't even care.

It pisses me off how a lot of people on SROA have the exact same effing style. It's so generic now, not original. Everyone draws the same thing and the same way, or have major similarities on their art (especially how they draw faces on canine or feline characters)

I see it all the time on DA, too. I see people rip off characters, designs and styles constantly, and they're WORSHIPPED for it.

it's sickening. DA isn't even fun to go on anymore.

lolsorry. it amused me there was one of those in every paragraph. |D -EASILY AMUSED-

But, really. If I see something one of my characters has or something in my style that's on someone else's drawing, I just let it go. XD The internet is HUUUGEEEEE. If it was a complete rip, that's one thing. But if there's one small factor that could easily be a coincidence... Just let it go people omg. XD

And the REALLY sad thing is that the "original design factor" that started that whole discussion... WASN'T REALLY ALL THAT ORIGINAL.

I think if you had just said this all (minus all the stuff about you being irritated) from the beginning, you wouldn't have had people getting on your case. Reading this, alone, is eye opening, as none of the arguments before gave this impression. Especially the last one; I don't even know how you expected anyone to gather any of this from that journal. So, i don't think you should really be pissed off out "[our] ignorance" as much as you should be upset at your own vagueness. Most of your journals gave off an air of 'If a character has ONE of these things, they copied it!' rather than the blatant character copying. I think everyone (sans the people who do it) will agree that that is complete and utter bullshit.
I dunno. I don't see how you could be so upset with people misunderstanding you when you yourself you didn't divulge enough information. But whatever.
